i once came across a game that (i believe) was called consumate. it was a strange game where the world was in 3-d, but you and everything else was in 2-d. animals were sheets of being, ranging from just 2 sheets to 6. a small animal born into the world (you) are to eat the other animals and in turn become the king. as you find more and more forms by eating certain animals in succesion, you complete a list of all the possible ones. after beating each boss, you attract a certain number of mates relating to your progress. you die, and become one of the children. then you continue the cycle of life. after defeating the "last boss" you come to the ultimate mate, who is huge, and every time you attempt to mate with it, it eats you. (to not die, you have to collect every form in the game) after it eats you, you are resurrected again as a new animal. it is a very fun game, and i recommend it to all gamecube owners, because of what i recall it was only for that system. game on.
